Greater Love Zion Church of God in Christ was founded in 1952; as then named Little Zion Church of God in Christ. Our visionarian founders, Pastor Adam and Mother Ruby L. Smith began with only their children, founder's mother and a few friends children. The Lord blessed the labor of their hands, and allowed the church ministry to grow.
We were afforded only four localities: (1) Pine Street, (2) South Street, (3) Gulf Street and (4) Magnolia Avenue in Beaumont Texas. We have also been favored to only have two Pastor-Leaders: Pastor Adam Smith (Mother Ruby L. Smith) and Pastor Gerald L. Smith, Sr. (Lady Patrice D. Smith). We have witness several church stages of growth: (A) infancy Youth - Aged Saints, (B) populous Middle-aged Membership and (C) Infant-Middle Aged-Animated Mature. Through these maturations of time spanse; we can honestly say; "God is with Us!"
We always make certain to include in our Sunday experiences and Mid-Week sessions: Praise, Prayer, Scripture, Worship, Teaching/Preaching and Agape Fellowship. We offer a comprehensive and concise ministry opportunity each week on Sunday's and Wednesday's. See our Weekly Schedule of Opportunites...
